Resume Clinic

July 7, 2022

Figure 1: Screenshot of the resume clinic workbook

Today we had our resume clinic. These types of activities are always helpful. I think it is so important that we are constantly evolving with our professional demeanors. I try to keep my CV a little fun and different, to express all the different areas that I am involved in. I do realize that my interests and accomplishments tend to be very unrelated, but it keeps things fun. One of the things that I find helpful about these workshops is that it is very interactive. Even though this entire program is remote, we engage quite a bit with one another and I have "met" many other interns and fellows from around the world that are equally invested in this internship. It's cool.

I detoured a bit from my research on my own blog today and took a deep dive into some of the law librarian's work. I love it. I would love to write blog posts for someone or something. There are all these random topics that don't quite seem to fit in a law library and yet, they work. They are interesting, thoughtful and carefully crafted to be relevant to the topic. Part of me toys with the idea that I could apply for another Law Library of Congress internship in another department for my own professional growth.
